I first heard about her from my colleagues who worked with her at the Interplay jazz camp, and when I learned I was going to be playing some gigs with her I assumed she would be a talented and promising amateur, given that she is an accomplished research professional and not primarily a musician. Boy was I surprised! Grace’s pitch is impeccable, her taste in songs eclectic, with an ear toward obscure gems, and her thirst for musical knowledge is insatiable, not to mention the incredible speed at which she attains it.
